Anniversary Hearts

This is the anniversary card I made for my husband of now 2 years 🙂 I used some fun big shot toys that I’ve had sitting around for awhile, so I’m happy to have finally taken them from the wrapper to make this semi-masculine card.

Jolly Postage

Too early for Christmas? Well, yes, I suppose it is, but its almost July, and people do Christmas in July type things right?  This is actually just an idea for a convention swap, I think I’m going to go with it, and a few others if I can muster up the time.

Time flies! Today’s fast-paced world has made people busier and less willing to commit their time to a traditional classroom degree program. Taking online college classes is a great way to finally fulfilling your dreams, perhaps gaining an online social work degree. Maybe for Christmas this year, after making and giving cards, you could give yourself a gift of higher education.

Pressed Flowers

I used the pressed flower technique once I finally got the new triple layer blossom bouquet punch. I really like how the square lattice embossing compressed the flowers onto the paper 🙂 This card uses the new hostess set available in the 2011-2012 catalog in July called Happiest Birthday!

Manhattan Flower cut-out Wedding Invitation

This is another wedding invitation sample I made for my friends Sarah and Nate. They wanted a more simple and traditional wedding invitation style as far as color went, so I used the Shimmery white, which has a great weight for the card base with a subtle shimmer. I cut out around the rose and magnolia flower shapes and tied the ribbon around the front of the card so reply cards and any other inserts will have something to be held within the invitation.

Stamps: Elements of Style

Paper: Shimmery White, Basic Gray, Whisper White, Vellum

Ink: Bravo Burgundy

Accessories: Silver Brads, Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder, Basic Gray Taffeta Ribbon (retired)

Wish Big Triangle Tri-Fold

I thought I had an example of a triangle tri-fold for my demonstration and it turned out that I had something similar but didn’t quite have the impact I wanted, so I searched for a tutorial that I could try out and found this great one.
