You’re Amazing Elephant Birthday Card

I’m kind of on a monochromatic kick this month. This is a card we’ll make at the September Stamp Camp and one thing I love about Stampin’ Up! is that it is super simple to color coordinate. Marina mist cardstock matches marina mist ink (watercolored on the elephant’s hat), marina mist DSP and marina mist brads…. actually now that I look at the card… I accidentally used Tempting turquoise brads… oh well.

Stamps: You’re Amazing

Paper: Marina Mist, Polka Dot Parade DSP, Whisper White

Ink: Basic Gray, Marina Mist (for watercoloring and sponging)

Accessories: Aquapainter, 1/16″ Circle Punch, Apothecary Framelits, 2-1/2″ Circle Punch, Delicate Doilies Sizzlits, Stampin’ sponge.

“I am” Birthday card for Joanie

We received this stamp set called “I Am” at convention for completing our classes.  Its a great and classy stamp set and I thought it was perfect to use on the birthday card I was making for my mother in law Joanie.  I also used some more fun goodies, the new doily sizzlet, and scallop edge framelit.

I love how this swap turned out! The embossing on the patterned paper really looks awesome in person and who couldn’t love a new butterfly punch with matching stamps?

Make a Cake

Stampin’ Up likes to reward their demonstrators and this stamp set and designer paper was part of a great gift for recruiting a demonstrator during Sale-a-bration. They are now offerring this as a bonus to anyone who signs up in June as a demonstrator with the $99 starter kit along with a great digital kit for My Digital Studio!

This is the free make and take at my Catalog Kickoff party this Saturday at 1pm. There will be a great doorprize for coming, bringing a guest and/or making a purchase. I’m also selling my retired items with a BOGO deal, buy a retired item at retail price and get the same amount in new catalog merchandise free! (Tax and Shipping will be added). Must come to my new catalog party to get the deals!

Summer Strawberries – PP98

Best of Everything Summer Strawberries

I did a challenge!  I’ve been trying to do more of these to get me stamping for more than just workshops 🙂  I love to stamp and a little inspiration goes a long way.  Summer to me screams picnics and strawberries growing so I used the striped embossing folder, brayered it with Riding hood red ink and sent my card through the big shot twice.  This is the first time I’ve attempted the gingham and I think I need a bit more practice but it came out okay.

Stamps:  Best of Everything, Perfect Punches

Paper: Whisper White, Gumball Green, Riding Hood Red

Ink: Riding Hood Red, Gumball Green

Accessories: Adorning Accents Edgelits & Embossing folders, Striped Embossing Folder, Wide Oval Punch, Designer label framelits, Stitched Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon, Brights Glimmer Brads

4-way fun fold card

I saw this card on Dawn Griffith’s blog, and did my own masculine spin on it… I really have to force myself to make masculine cards!  I got the Well Worn DSP expressly for the purpose of being inspired to make more masculine cards though.  I liked how the fleur de lis in the paper matched the stamp in Extreme Elements too!

Stamps: Extreme Elements, On Your Birthday

Paper: Poppy Parade, Very Vanilla, Well Worn DSP

Ink: Poppy Parade, Not Quite Navy, Early Espresso

It’s a Wrap Treat Bag

This is the 3rd project we’ll make at the stamp camp on March 17.  Its a Fancy favor bag filled with wrapped nuggets.  I thought it would be a great thank you or little birthday gift.

Accessories: Big Shot, Fancy Favor Die, Lucky Limeade ruffled Ribbon, Crop-a-dile, mailing labels, 1-3/8″ Circle punch, Scallop Circle punch

Outlined Occasions Celebrate!

Celebrate Sale-a-bration!  This FREE stamp set is so cute!  I made this semi-patriotic card that could be used for so many occasions, but my aim was a masculine birthday.

Stamps: Outlined Occasions

Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Well Worn DSP

Ink: Ridinghood Red, Basic Black, Not Quite Navy

Accessories: Label framelits, Real Red Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Big Shot

Elementary Elegance movers & shapers card

In my big shot class last month, I thought it would be a good matchup to use the Elementary Elegance Sale-a-bration set (one of my favorites this year) and the movers and shapers die that comes with the curly label shape.  Because I have this set in clearmount it was easy to line up the stamp with the window.  And we used the curly label punch for the greeting, a perfect fit.  I also really liked the doily cut-out butterfly in the Occasions mini, so I did my own spin on it to match up with this card.  Love the color combination.

Stamps: Elementary Elegance

Paper: Marina Mist, Whisper White, Cheerful Treat DSP

Ink; Crushed concord, Melon Mambo

Accessories: Delicate Doily Sizzlit, Subtles Designer Buttons, glue dots, Movers & Shapers die, big shot, Curly Label punch

Easy Events Cupcake

A fun part of convention this year were the great ideas they gave us and this is a card that they provided all the cutting and supplies for! And I love that this cute and simple card is one I would have never come up with on my own but is so awesome!  This stamp set is so versatile and the note cards and envelopes come in so handy for a quick card.
