You’re Amazing Make & Take from Convention part 2

At first glance, this wasn’t my favorite project for sure of make and takes, so I saved it for working on at home.  My idea was to make it my own.  I did make subtle changes to the original design.  This scrapbook page layout uses the awesome new divided page protectors.  Most of the changes I made involved not adhering elements to the page protector itself, which I know was just to give it more detail.  I also didn’t make the mini composition book (bottom right) be a permanent attachment. There should also be  a photo of someone or something on the woodgrain piece, but I didn’t have anything handy.

Timeless Portrait mini scrapbook tin

I love pinterest!  If you haven’t heard of it yet, then I think you may have been living under a rock because it seems to be ever so popular now.  I found this awesome idea to make a mini scrapbook tin after my mom told me she had saved a bunch of empty Altoids tins if I wanted to use them in a class.  So I took one home, and since it was already red and I didn’t want to paint it, I used the coordinating Timeless Portrait DSP to decorate it.  This has got to be my favorite DSP and I also love that there is coordinating fabric.  I’ve pulled out my sewing machine a couple times because of the designer fabric that Stampin’ Up sells.  I’ve got lots of ideas on stock, or should I say “pinned” because of Pinterest.  Here’s the tutorial I found for the mini scrapbook tin: Altered Altoid Tin Album by Sarah Willis

Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Word Play, Best Friends Forever, Triple Treat Flower, Precious Butterflies (hostess), Creative Elements, Kindness Matters, Four Frames, Fabulous Phrases,

Paper: Very Vanilla, Timeless Portrait DSP, Newsprint DSP, CS Vellum

Ink: Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Island Indigo, River rock

Accessories: Basic Pearls, Blossom Punch, 5-petal Flower punch, Fancy Flower punch, 1/2″ circle punch, 3/4″ circle punch, Beautiful Wings embosslit, Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die, Neutral Glimmer Brads, mini silver brads, decorative label punch, Cherry Cobbler polkadot ribbon, basic black 1/8″ taffeta ribbon, tag corner punch, crop-a-dile, 1/8″ circle punch, Fresh Vintage brads.
