Retiring Accessories List is Here

There is a LOT on the retired accessories list, and first I want to say that the classic ink pads are being reconfigured to be improved and colors are NOT being retired.  There are stars next to items that are being reconfigured, and the rest is going.  So please, if there is something on your wishlist, make sure that you get it before the end of May.  Supplies are limited to what is in stock and I can update you on things that have sold out.

Check out the discounted retiring items here: http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ItemList.aspx?categoryid=801

Melon Mambo Wedding Invitation

My friends Shaun and Leah are having me help make their wedding invitations for their wedding in August and this is what I came up with after we went back and forth with ideas.  They loved the design that I did for my brother and sister-in-law a few years ago.  This uses the retired Wandering Words stamp.

Love the logo I made for them too, they’re going to print it up on a canvas to display at their wedding 🙂

Stamps: Wandering Words (retired)

Paper: Melon Mambo, Basic Black, Very Vanilla

Ink: Melon Mambo

Accessories: Melon Mambo scalloped polka-dot ribbon

Wild Wasabi & Peach Parfait Wedding Invitation

My friends Alice and Andrew are getting married this summer as well, in September (That’s still technically summer, I believe).  Their colors are Green and Orange and we picked Wild Wasabi and Peach Parfait to represent those shades.

This is a spin on a Pear and Espresso sample I made.  And a nice way to bid the retiring Peach Parfait a font farewell.

Stamps: Baroque Motifs

Paper: Wild Wasabi, Peach Parfait, Whisper White

Ink: Wild Wasabi

Accessories: Peach Parfait Poly-Twill Ribbon

Retiring Stamp List is here!

If you didn’t already know, our current catalog ends May 31, and a new smaller catalog (less overwhelming) will take its place in June.  Because the catalog size is changing that means a big reduction in stamp sets, and a long retiring list.  Please take a look at the list and make sure that you order the stamps you love and that won’t be available after May 31!  There are some really great stamp sets that I’ll miss demonstrating with, but that will stay in my collection.  I will be selling a lot of my retiring stamp sets in June, so stay tuned for that!

Retired_List_stamps_en-US1 (PDF) an easy to read version I converted from an excel file.

Also, with the impressive amount of sets retiring, my contest was a bit easier than usual, Kathy Van Klaveren won with 14/15 retiring stamp sets guessed.  She will be able to pick 3 free sets at my retirement party/new catalog kickoff.

Promoted!

During Sale-a-bration one of my favorite stampes, Tanya, decided to become a demonstrator!  I’m so excited to have my very first recruit!  This also means that I’ve promoted to Supervisor!  My Up Up Upline Julie sent me a congratulatory card for my achievements 🙂  Its super cute and uses the new Summer Smooches paper and stamps (on the certificates).

Stamps: A Word for you, Bright Blossoms

Paper: Calypso Coral, Summer Smooches DSP, Whisper White, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade

Ink: Island Indigo

Accessories: Island Indigo printed brad, circle punches, 5-petal flower punch

Stampin’ Up Stamp Set Retirement Contest

The stamp set retirement list comes out Sunday April 15, and so to celebrate, I’m running a little contest.

Pick 15 stamp sets from the Idea Book and Catalog that you think might retire (won’t show up in the next catalog).  Do not pick the RMHC set or any Hostess sets because they always retire.  Also do not choose any wheels because they show up on the retired accessories list and that isn’t available until April 25.

Email your list to me at krissiev@gmail.com by April 14, I will announce the winner on Monday April 16.

Winner will receive their choice of 3 stamp sets for free at my Stamp Set retirement party in June.  (I will be selling many retired sets as well).  If you can’t attend the party, that’s OK, I can email you a list of stamp sets and hold them aside for you.  You’ll want to come though because we’ll be kicking off the new catalog as well and taking a look at all the new stuff!  Date of the party in June is TBD.

Don’t have a catalog to look through?  Use this link to view the catalog online (Flash required)

Good Luck!!  Only 4 days until the deadline!

Raining Flowers

Its only been since Convention since I’ve used this stamp set, but Spring is here and the flowers are blooming so i was inspired to make a card with it.  A simple background with some fun bright colors.

Stamps: Raining Flowers

Paper: Poppy Parade, Lucky Limeade, Whisper White

Ink: Whisper White, Lucky Limeade, Tempting Turquoise

Accessories: Brights Glimmer Brads, Lucky Limeade Ruffled ribbon

Well Worn Card & Envelope

With the new diagonal scoring plate that works beautifully with Simply Scored I was able to make a matching envelope for my 4-way fold card. We’ll be making both of these at my next stamp camp in May!

Paper: Well Worn DSP

Accessories: Simply Scored, Diagonal Plate, Square punch

Cone Petal Paper Snips Holder

I’d like to make a fabric version of this cute snips holder, but the paper version is equally adorable!

For the paper version, just cut your dsp with the Petal Cone die once and put your adhesive on the flap, fold together and fold down one of the petals.  Then cut a half scallop from the die with cardstock to display over the flap and decorate as you like.

Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes

Paper: Beau Chateau, Marina Mist

Ink: Marina Mist, Early Espresso

Accessories: Big Shot, Petal Cone Die, Subtles buttons, Very Vanilla seam binding, glue dots
