Wish Big – By Sharlene

Here’s one of my favorite cards from a shoebox swap we did a few weeks ago. The original design is by Sharlene Mitchell.  I’m thinking about using or CASEing this design for my stamp camp next month but just haven’t decided yet.

Stamps: Raining Flowers, Word Play

Paper: Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White

Ink: Wisteria Wonder, Pear Pizzazz

Accessories: Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon, Rhinestone Accents, Curly Label Punch, decorative label punch.

Wedding Reception Invitations

A destination style wedding sometimes calls for a local reception, and in this case we needed some separate invitations because this event will be coupled with a 20th wedding anniversary!  Here are the simple and beautiful invitations we came up with for this event!

Stamps: Elements of Style

Paper: Whisper White, Bravo Burgundy

Ink: Bravo Burgundy

Accessories: Basic Black 3/8″ taffeta ribbon

Easy Events Double Emboss Masculine Card

I love it when an idea comes together.  I wanted to demonstrate the double emboss technique but wasn’t sure which embossing folder to use, then I came up with a great color scheme for a masculine card and had to use the new striped embossing folder.  Double embossing is something I learned from our exclusive demonstrator magazine called Stampin’ Success!  I’d love to teach it to you on August 27 when I hold my All About Texture stamp camp!

Stamps: Easy Events

Paper: Chocolate chip, First Edition DSP, Very Vanilla, Basic Black

Ink: Versamark, Early Espresso, Markers – Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Marina Mist, More Mustard, Wild Wasabi

Accessories: Black Satin Ribbon, Black Designer Button, Black embossing powder, heat gun, striped embossing folder

Best of Everything

Loving this new technique and I’m still trying to get it just right, but love the color combination I used on this try…

Stamps: Best of Everything, borderlines

Paper: Confetti White, Whisper White

Ink: Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade

Accessories: Clear Blocks, mat pack, dimensionals, subtles designer buttons, glue dots

Tricky Little Owl

Trick or Treat! This is a cutie owl from the new Holiday Mini exclusive hostess set called Warmest of Wishes.  I used a new to me technique that may or may not be called Clear Block Stamping which probably isn’t the name, but basically you ink up your block and stamp it directly on the paper for a neat background effect.

Stamps: Warmest of Wishes hostess, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Borderlines

Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Whisper White

Ink: Tangerine Tango, Basic Black

Accessories: Clear Blocks, mat pack, basic black 1/8 taffeta ribbon

Holly Jolly – Window Sheet Texture

This is a fun technique, run a window sheet through the big shot with your embossing folder and then take a sanding block to your embossed portion and layer it over cardstock or designer paper.  This is especially pretty with the Petals a Plenty folder!  This is another card we’ll make at my Texture Stamp Camp on August 27 🙂

I also had fun with the Smooch top coat finishes again on the stocking and candy cane 🙂  love how I can add a tiny touch of shimmer and sparkle!

Stamps: Festive & Fun

Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Old Olive, Window Sheets

Ink: Staz-on Black, markers: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive

Accessories: Lace Ribbon punch, Cherry cobbler bakers twine, Petals a Plenty embossing folder, sanding block, glue dots, Smooch Illuminate top coat, smooch moonlight accent ink

Why I love Stampin’ Up!

Would you like to be a part of something amazingly fun?  That’s what being a demonstrator is for me.  I get a great discount on all the supplies, and I get to have fun stamping with my friends!  I’ve met so many wonderful people (demonstrators and new stampers too) and it is a great way for me to dig out that creativity that gets tucked away during everyday life.  You don’t have to feel like you are a creative person to be a stamper since Stampin’ Up! does all the difficult work for you!  Their products coordinate so well witch eachother that really all you need to do is pick up some cardstock, ink and a stamp and you’re there!  If you need help with ideas, there’s a magazine mailed out monthly to demonstrators full of ideas, template maps, and an online community with ideas to share to make your own.

Here’s a bit about the starter kit, I’d really love to have you on my Stampin’ team, so please email me if you are interested! krissiev@gmail.com

Cookie Monster card

My BFF’s kids call me “cookie” (easier to say than Krissie, I suppose) and they both have a birthday next week, so I made the youngest a cookie monster card 🙂  It was super quick, and I stamped a birthday greeting inside.

Paper: Pacific Point, Basic Black, Whisper White

Ink: (inside) Basic Black

Accessories: Scallop Circle Bigz die, Circle Coluzzle (retired), itty bitty shapes circle punch, 1-3/8″ circle punch, tombow mono multi adhesive

Festive & Fun Holiday mini sneak peek

Here’s a card made with a brand new stamp set from the Holiday mini that starts in September! I won this stamp set (and the Wisteria Wonder ruffled ribbon) at convention during a prize patrol 🙂 It’s called Festive & Fun and has 2 more greetings that you may see soon here on my blog as long as I make time to stamp!

Stamps: Festive & Fun

Paper: Elegant Eggplant, First Edition Specialty DSP, Wisteria Wonder, Naturals White

Ink: (Markers) Wisteria Wonder, Peach Parfait, Lucky Limeade, Basic Black; Lucky Limeade and Wisteria Wonder are also sponged in the background

Accessories: Versamark, Black embossing powder, Wisteria Wonder ruffled ribbon, old olive 1/8″ taffeta ribbon, staples, heat tool, dimensionals, smooch illuminate top coat and smooch moonlight, dazzling details (also new to the holiday mini)

Sweet Razzleberries

I’ve loved the raspberry image in Pretty postage so much, then I spotted coordinating raspberries in the set Clearly for you and had to have them meet!  One note on this card, card stock has 2 sides, and I used it (there are no mistakes…) however, I put my adhesive on the wrong side of it and my double work was useless, haha!  So, my raspberries are a bit off, but I still like the idea…

We’ll be making this card in my August 27 “All About Texture” Stamp Camp!  I’ll have the other samples made too that tweak on texture a bit more…

Stamps: Clearly For You, Pretty Postage

Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Lucky Limeade, Whisper White

Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Lucky Limeade

Accessories: Wallpaper embossing folder, rectangle frame embossing folder, black 1/8″ taffeta ribbon, postage stamp punch, dimensionals, stampin’ sponge.
