My Paper Pumpkin welcome kit!

DSC07358My Paper Pumpkin kit arrived and so I first tackled the card as instructed in the kit, but branched out from there.  I still have one more left to make but for now I’m saving it for later 🙂   I changed up the other 2 with the pop up posies kit and with a simple orientation switch-up and a flower stamp that I hand cut.

DSC07357DSC07356  Visit www.mypaperpumpkin.com to sign up and get your welcome kit!  I’d REALLY appreciae it if you chose me, Krissie O’Donnell, as your demonstrator when you sign up too!  Then a surprise kit will come each month that follows 🙂  You get a D sized clear block in the welcome kit that you’ll be able to use on all future kits.

Just For You – Pop-up Posies

DSC07346We made this cute card at a group meeting last month, and it is such an easy card, I used it with my stampers last weekend too!  It uses the pop-up posies kit which is filled with great instructions, flowers, brads, and more to make lots of pretty projects.  You can easily supplement your kit with ribbon and brads to make even more with all the flowers!

Woodgrain Coredinations card

This card features 2 great new products: The coredinations cardstock that can be embossed and sanded for a two tone look, and the Wood Grain embossing folder! Love them both, the wood grain comes in quite handy for masculine cards.  I must also give a disclaimer that the coredinations cardstock is quite delicate.  It is thinner than regular cardstock and this embossing folder is a bit harsh on it so it can tear easily, especially when sanding, but other embossing folders don’t give quite the same issues… but since its only tearing “with the grain” its easy to disguise with extra adhesive where it tears.  Can you spot where it tore?  There are 2 places 😀  I can’t see it.

Stamps: Petite Pairs

Paper: Early Espresso, Early Espresso Coredinations, Whisper White

Ink: Early Espresso

Accessories: Stampin sanding block (with removable pads), dust buddy, early espresso baker’s twine

New Cookie Stamps!

Check out these fun cookie stamps that are available now!  They missed their feature in the Holiday mini, so I wanted to make sure everyone knew about them 🙂  They come with a fabulous sugar cookie recipe that I tasted at convention, so very yummy!

New Simply Scored!

Simply Scored - $29.95 USD - #122334

Demonstrators (and stampers everywhere) have been begging for a scoring solution… and Stampin’ Up took their time to make theirs perfect!  I’m dumping my scorpal for this fantastic board of scoring beauty.

It has:

  • Score lines on every 1/8″, no more moving your paper to line up, and in my case mess up, the measurements.
  • Markers– so that if you are doing a lot of scoring (hello wedding invitations that I do a few times a year), you don’t have to rely on memory or post-it flags.
  • A handy storage compartment at the top that holds your bone folder, extra markers, lipstick, chocolates– you know, the essentials!
  • A double sided stylus for precision and a smooth glide… no more cutting that DSP when you press too hard with a bone folder!

Below I’ll display some of the wonderful things you can do with a scoring solution if you’re left saying… “why do I need this??”

All of my fun folds cards and many 3-D projects couldn’t be done without a scoring solution

But if you do more of the simple half fold cards (like 90% of my cards are) its great for making that score down the middle, and here are some more fancy things you can do:

Fun lattice or even plaid texture for your backgrounds:

A nice finishing touch like a border:
